Please be patient while the pictures download - they shouldn't take too long!

Stockport Elim is near the center of Stockport - within two or three minute's walk from the Town Hall and the Railway Station.

Stockport Elim was one of the first Pentecostal churches to be established in the South Manchester area. It dates from the 1930s, but our current building is from the 1970s. This photo shows how the building relates to some of the older buildings nearby.

High rise tower blocks, where many of our members live, are situated around the church.

Inside, the church is colourful, bright and warm.

A particular feature of the church is the banners with Gospel messages.

Our members make the church into a friendly, sharing community. Here is Iris, playing the keyboard; and Ray, arranging the chairs.

Here is Senior Pastor Daryl Richardson, who has ministered at the church for over 30 years. He is holding his Bible, and standing by the lectern. Also, here is Daryl's wife, Linda. She holds a book where visitors and members can list their prayer requests, and answers to prayer. Also in this picture you can see the illuminated cross, which is a main feature inside the church, and our welcoming entrance.
